How to collapse posts on home page as it is shown on theme page?
-
I set up a blog using the theme called Visual. The sample home page for that theme displays the posts collapsed (presumably showing the excerpt and featured photo only). My home page, however, shows the posts in their entirety using a three-column format.
How can I get my home page to look like the sample shown for Visual on the themes page?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Here is the demo for that theme http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/visual/ I suggest you also check that theme’s threads in the Themes Forum to learn how to configure it.

Thanks raincoaster.
The theme demo was of no help, but the forum search yielded the answer: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/can-you-help-with-formatting-for-visual?replies=3#post-1381951
Essentially, the Visual theme does not offer auto truncation using the excerpts – regardless of settings. The answer is to use the “more” tag to manually truncate the post.

And they have truncated posts IN THE DEMO? That’s really misleading. That should be changed. Thanks for letting us know.
