How to comment on Blogger blogs
-
I am new to self-hosted WordPress and am having a lot of difficulty commenting on Blogger blogs. I can’t use Open ID WordPress because it requires I use the http://blogname.wordpress.com URL format. I own my own domain name, so I simply get an error message. I want to be able to comment so that my blog name and icon (gravitar) shows up, allowing other bloggers to click on it and go to my blog.
I have been endlessly frustrated by this issue. Is there some way around this that I can’t find? I’m trying to market my blog for business purposes and need a consistent identity out there and the ability for others to click on my name and go to my blog. Anonymous posting doesn’t really help me.
Thank you!

Hi there,
The forum for self hosting WordPress.org bloggers is here > http://wordpress.org/support/ -
P.S. Trying to post comments on Blogger blogs is a drag and alwyas has been. Open ID fails more often than it works and blospott software thinks we all have a single username here at wordpress.com and a single blog by the same name on a.wordpress.com sub-domain. So if we have a domain or more than one blog registered under the same wordpress.com name trying to comment becomes a nightmare. Unless the blogger at the other end chooses to enable commenters to post with a username and URL it’s next to impossible to leave a comment.

After some research today, I thought that might be the answer. However, I was hoping that someone could provide some “magic” I couldn’t find! :) With all the things you can do with blogs, you’d think someone would have found a solution to this by now! Thanks for your help.

Ironically, the recent changes here mean that it’s as difficult for Blogger bloggers to comment here as it is for WordPress bloggers to comment there.
