how to consolidate two wordpress accounts
-
I seem to have two separate wordpress accounts, and would like to consolidate them so my different blogs are available to me in one wordpress location. How can I consolidate two wordpress accounts.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. If both blogs are on WordPress.com you can transfer the one blog to the other account. Go to My Blogs in the WP-Admin dashboard of the blog you want to move and transfer it to the other account. Once you confirm the transfer both blogs will belong to the same username, and that username will be the author for all posts and respond to comments on both blogs. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-wordpress-com-user-or-account

Thanks for this feedback! It was helpful in finding the right path. The issue I find now is that when I follow these steps it indicates “you cannot transfer to that user” with no explanation of why not, or what else I can do. The site says the one exception to this rule is for custom domains, regulated by ICANN, in which case someone will reach out to help me, however I don’t know if this applies, and so far I’ve not found it to be the case that anyone reaches out directly, nor can I find a number to speak to a person to walk through it. I welcome any thoughts.

Were you logged in as the account the owns the other blog when you tried to make the transfer? Even if this account has been added as an admin on the other site, only the account that owns it can transfer it.
If your blog has a custom domain you won’t be able to transfer it yourself.
In that case, what is the URL of the blog? I assume you want to transfer it to this account, drawinginthemargins? If so, you’ll need to post here as the account that owns the other blog to request its transfer.

I was logged in as drawinginthemargins. I’d like to move drawinginthemargins, yogamoose and haikutuesday over to letlightin. Would that be possible / do you have a better recommendation? Thanks so much for your insight and help!

I searched for the username account “letlightin” on the Gravatar website, and there doesn’t seem to be such an account. You won’t be able to transfer your sites to an account that doesn’t exist.
I also see the blog at https://letlightin.wordpress.com/ has been deleted.
What is the username for the other account?
-
Hello, I thought the user name was the same as my email. I use it to log in via the blog, letlightin.com.

Now it’s clear. http://www.letlightin.com/ is a self-hosted WordPress.org website, which means it’s not part of a WordPress.com account (or you don’t have a WordPress.com username for that site), and you won’t be able to transfer your WordPress.com sites to that account as it’s hosted somewhere else. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
What you can do is install the Jetpack plugin to http://www.letlightin.com/ and connect it to your WordPress.com account, drawinginthemargins. Then the letlightin site will appear on the My Sites page when you’re logged in to WordPress.com and you’ll be able to manage it from there. See here for getting Jetpack installed and connected on your self-hosted site: http://jetpack.me/install/?src=header
For more help with Jetpack you’ll need to post in the WordPress.org forum, here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack If you don’t already have a username on that forum, click the register button in the upper right corner so you can post in that forum.
