How to control how blog looks in Android app

    Hello!

    I use a pretty basic theme and am not that bothered about the fact that it looks different on mobile – as long as the header image appears and the top links (“About” and “Read from the Beginning”) are easily accessible then that’s all that matters.

    However, I note that through the WordPress Android app, my blog looks completely different. It’s just a list of posts with my avatar next to them – no header, no links. I notice through the reader that most (though not all) other blogs appear that way as well.

    How can I control how my blog appears in the app? I suspect a lot of my readers are accessing it that way, and it bothers me that they are not seeing my header image and are not being offered the chance to read from the start, which is quite important as it is an ongoing narrative.

    Hi @heartlandroad, can you take a screenshot of the page you’re referring to? It kind of sounds like you’re talking about the reader, but a screenshot will confirm it. Go ahead and add that to your media library, or upload via a service like cloudup.com.

    Hi, sorry for the delay – it is in the Reader, specifically the Reader in the Android app. The curious thing is that some blogs appear the same there as they do in the browser, whereas others appear in this stripped-down version without header or links.

    I’m afraid I have no clue how to post the screenshots, they’re in my library but can’t see any way to post them here.

    It’s okay, if they’re in the media library, staff can see them. You can also post a link to an individual image for community help if you’d like.

    The reader won’t show full sites, only posts — that goes for all sites. If you’re seeing something different there let me know.

    I can see you’ve got a screenshot of the site in a browser with the default mobile theme. Did you need to change anything on that screenshot?
