How to control the display portion of a post?

  I am using “Plane” and very comfortable with it. However, everytime a visitor goes to a particular category in my blog, it displays the full content of each post one after the other.

  I want to compress the contents on the category pages, so that the actual content opens when someone clicks the post and enables the like,share buttons.

  People are not finding the interactive buttons unless they click the post heading, and its confusing them.
