How to Control/Limit Automatic Submissions
-
I have a number of WordPress article directories. A few weeks ago, several of them suddenly experienced an enormous number of new article submissions each day (sometimes up to 300 in a single directory). The articles go either into ”Drafts” or ”Pending” in the WP-Admin section and are building at such a furious rate that there are now thousands of these draft/pending articles.
One example is at http://www.free-articlesonline.com: All (11,038) | Published (1,856) | Drafts (3,624) | Pending (5,558)
I have examined several dozen of the articles. They appear to be related to legitimate sites, not spam, but seem to be submitted through some undisclosed article submission service I cannot identify. However, I have ruled out Unique Article Wizard as a source of these troublesome posts.
It is not uncommon to see 10 different articles all posted virtually contemporaneously under a single ”User Name.”
I would like to know if there’s a:
1. Way to identify the sources of these posts and limit the number that can be posted in the future (in the WP-Admin panel).
2. Plugin that will allow me to send to trash or delete hundreds of these articles at one time rather than the laborious 20 I can manually address now. -
There are 2 kinds of wordpress: .COM and ORG

We need a link to the site you are talking about, but I suspect you are actually self-hosted and in the incorrect forum. We won’t know till we have the URL of the site you are talking about though.
