how to convert a post

  Hi, I need to convert a post on my blog to a word doc so that I can submit it to a writing contest. I can’t figure out how to do this. Help!

  Hi Kassie,

  You should be able to copy the post straight from the Visual Editor on the “Edit Post” screen.

  At the top of your “Edit Post” screen, you should see two tabs: Visual and Editor. This is shown here as an example:

  If you copy and paste directly from the “Visual” editor, you shouldn’t have a problem. Alternatively, you can export your post to a PDF following these steps:

  1. Enabled “Print” as a sharing button under your Sharing settings (Dashboard -> Settings -> Sharing) as shown here:

  2. Click “Print” underneath the post you want to save as a PDF
  3. Instead of printing the post, you should have the ability to open the post in a PDF

  Please let me know if either of those options work for you!

  Ok, clearly Jeremy, the L in your signatory line stands for “Lifesaver!” Thanks so much! This has been a crazy couple of weeks here in the heartland with snow, ice, and eeek~ no internet connection!! When I finally had the opportunity to try your dual techniques, they both worked like a charm! Thank you Thank you! I have submitted both an article for publication and one for a writing competition.
