How to convert my site into WordPress

    Howdy :)

I’ve been using free hosting services for my website for the 2 years. But then recently, a friend of mine suggest to use WordPress coz it’s free and easy to use. She told me to choose BlueHost as my web hosting. All I need is to have WampServer, Filezilla and a Dreamweaver [which are all installed on my computer.] But the thing is I don’t know how to link all these to WordPress. I have downloaded a version of wordpress but dunno where to start. Also I have lots of questions regarding it, like in Filezilla, if I have an account on wordpress does it give me a host, username and password to connect to? Same question goes for my Dreamweaver. In Wampserver, is there something I need to set in Apache before I could run it on LocalHost?

One of the basic steps I’ve learned is that it first I have to create wp-configure.php? If I remember it correctly, but the wordpress gave some guidelines on how to make it. Then what would happen next? Upload it through filezilla?

I really need a thorough explanation for this. Thanks :)

If you have your own hosting, you’re dealing with WordPress.org, which has a separate support system– WordPress.com is a different service, which doesn’t involve any of of the things you’ve mentioned. So, right now, you’re in the wrong support forum. See this page for the .org vs .com differences: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
