how to create a background

Add topic to favorites
I need to find out in detail how to design my background. Learnt today for the first time that “background” doesn’t mean just ‘n flat colour.What size in pixels must a full size background image be?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Dear timethief, thank you very much for replying, but unfortunately it still doesn’t help!! I need more direct help, since I’m so totally clueless.I’ve read everything about what my theme can offer, but I don’t know how to incorporate it,

.I tries to create a background, but messed everything up badly.Wish I could restore the default background until I know what I’m doing—- is that possible at all?

There normally a item we can select to remove a background in a theme here > Appearance > Background but I cannot locate one on this theme. So what you can do is got to your Media Library and deleted the background image from it. Once we delete an image it can no longer display.
Media -> Library in your blog’s dashboard:

On this Matala theme there is no selector we can use to remove a background image we have uploaded and no longer wish to use on this page > Appearance > Background

However, you could go to the Media Library and delete the background image from there. Then the default background will return.
