How to create a Blog Subscription Shortcode

I’m trying to figure out how to create a Blog Subscription Shortcode to embed into one of my pages. I went to the Shortcodes Support Page and found it listed as one of the Miscellaneous available shortcodes, but unlike the rest, there was no link for the “Full Instructions.”
[blog_subscription_form] embeds a subscription form allowing people to sign up for email updates » Full instructions
Please provide the instructions (or the link for the “Full Instructions” page) for creating a Blog Subscription Shortcode.
Also, is there a direct link (or any way to create a direct link) for a Follow button, Blog Subscription form, etc for my blog? Basically, I want to be able to post a URL link on Facebook for example where people click on the code and it takes them directly to a page where they enter their email to sign up for my blog. Is this possible?

You’ll notice it’s quite simple. It can be added to a Page or a Post.If you add it to a Contact page, for instance, you can use that link to post to Facebook.
There are other ways for people to subscribe to your site. You can add a follow button to your sidebar widgets, for instance.
For WordPress.com users who are signed into their account: When they view your site, they can click on the “Follow” link in the WordPress toolbar in their browser window.
For non-WordPress.com users: When they view your site, they can subscribe with the pop-up box that appears in the bottom, right-hand side of their browser window.
While the subscription information is collected in various ways, it can all be viewed in the same place: Your Stats page.

Thanks for your help, but I’m afraid I’m still not understanding how to create the Blog Subscription Shortcode. I’ve seen the page for it, but it doesn’t say/show how to actually generate/get the shortcode. How do I access the shortcode to add it to a page or post?

Hi there! The short code is actually:
[blog_subscription_form]
So, what you will do is open up your page/post editor and click on the Text tab. The Visual tab is usually open by default, but now that you’ve clicked Text, you can paste [blog_subscription_form] into the box. And save/update your page/post.

Gotcha. I was copying and pasting the code into the Visual tab, and it wasn’t working that way. Good to know that code needs to be entered in the Text tab. :) Thanks so much for your help!
