How to create a CMS using wordpress

Hi guys I was just wondering how to create a Website using wordpress just like ajaxian.com ..
1. I m in need of creating a website where users have to pay for certain software ..
2. Where i need my clients to have special status ….
3.I want to have the login in front end..
4. When a person logs in he should get a usermenu where he can be redirected to different pages…Most of all when I finished installing wordpress i logged in as admin i found a lot of links
under“Other WordPress News”
How to remove all this tell me the file that has this feature so that i can remove it to have my plugin list there
