How to create a 'colour simulator' image gallery?
-
I want to create a ‘colour simulator’ for a client’s website, to show how a product might look in different colours. Something similar to this: http://www.designinferno.com.au/colour_simulator.php
The way I see it working, there will be a large image frame and a series of ‘swatches’ below. Clicking on one of these swatches will display the corresponding ‘hero’ image in the large frame above.
Note: simply using an image gallery with thumbnails below won’t work, as the smaller images need to be flat colour swatches, and therefore different image files to the heroes
Does anyone know of a plugin that offers this functionality?
Thanks

Hi there, sorry your question went unanswered for so long, but what you want to do really isn’t possible on a site hosted on WordPressdotcom. It would most likely require javascript and we have coding restrictions here and also cannot install 3rd party plugins. More about that here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/If by chance your client’s site is using the standalone install of the WP software, you’ll want to head over to https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page and https://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums, you can register one on that page.
Standalone WP and WordPressdotcom are separate entities; more information about the differences can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Best wishes
