How to Create a Directory of Contents for a WordPress.com Blogsite
-
To Whom It May Concern:
I have been doing a lot of research on this topic, googling all that I can find about creating a directory of contents for my WordPress.com Blogsite…NOT a WordPress.org site and, everything that I have seen thus far on the internet, once you start reading an item that initially said .com somehow the writer switches to .org…which is what I DON’T want.
I use tags in all of my articles (155-Posts to date) and, have 19-Categories (which I would like to use as my Table of Contents aka Directory), to direct Veterans and Expats to the various articles that I am presenting / have written.
Where can I go to find the correct area within WordPress.com to create the Table of Contents aka Directory, as I am at a total loss right now? (NOTE: Please understand, that when my daughter first created the basic outline for my WordPress.com Blogsite, she had incorporated several ugly looking items (I believe they were referred to as Widgets). All I wish to list, is a list of the 19-titles that I am currently using as the only Categories that I will ever use, on either the right side or the left side of the home page.
If this is not possible, please explain why and, further explain what I need to do to make my Home Page more presentable to whomever is reviewing whatever I have to present. Please note, that I have nothing to sell and my blogsite is only for informational purposes only. I am currently at 51% Used Space.
Thanking you ahead of time.
Respectfully,

Hi there,
If your theme allows for a sidebar, you can activate it and then add the category widget.
My site used to have a function like that on the right sidebar, see here

ggmoyo,
Thanks for your response!
I like the function that you presented with your website’s sidebar, as that is exactly what I am looking for and NOT the ugly widgets normally associated with a WordPress.com Website creation.
Thanks for the information and, I will visit the https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/categories-widget/ website that you provided to explain more fully what I want to install on my blogsite.
Have a Happy New Year and, thanks for taking the time to answer my question.
