  How do I create a search bar for my homepage?

  Hi there,

  You can create the search bar for homepage by adding the Search widget to your blog sidebar or footer, allowing readers to easily search your site for posts and pages you’ve written in the past.

  You can get more detail about search widget here:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/search-widget/

  You can add this widget by going to My Sites> Customize > Widgets. Here you will get footer or sidebar option as per your theme chosen. Click on that option and you will be able to see add widget button. Using that widget button, search for your search widget and then add that widget to your page.
