How to create a separate profile for a user?

You set up the blog dorothydarden.wordpress.com on your WordPress.com account, so the username dorothydarden is reserved (so no one else can register it). There isn’t yet a WordPress.com account with that username or with your wife’s email address that you gave earlier.
If you’d like, I can set up that account for you, with the username dorothydarden and that email address. Then, I can transfer ownership of the blog dorothydarden.wordpress.com to that account so your wife can manage it. If you’d like me to do that, please just reply to confirm and I’ll take care of that for you. :)

Yes please proceed. To summarize, the goal is simple: Dorothy needs her own profile for authoring posts on cookingaboardadagio.wordpress.com.
If it simplifies, no need for dorothydarden.wordpress.com.

I have a similar problem. I have a blog davidcollinsphoto.wordpress.com and set up a new blog davidcollinsfoto.wordpress.com, bought the Vision theme and started adding content before realising that I would need another email address for it to be operated completely separately. I have now set up a specific email address for it (reluctant to give the address in public forum) but of course WordPress has the davidcollinsfoto user name reserved now. Appreciate it if you could also help me with this.

I am setting up a blog using my real name. I currently have some admin privileges on another blog using my gravatar and screen name. I do not want to use the current gravatar info, but actual info. What do I need to do to separate the two? New blog is brianjboe.wordpress.com. My gravatar and screen name is texan59. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I created a new WordPress.com account with the username dorothydarden for your wife. She will receive instructions at her email address for how to log in to her account at WordPress.com.
I also resent her invitation to your blog at cookingaboardadagio.wordpress.com. She can accept that invitation to start authoring posts there. Please let me know if you’d like any further help with this. :)
