How to create a separate USERID and PW for a secondary blog
-
I want to give a supplier access to one of my secondary blogs but not the main blog. Is there some way to create a separate userid and pw for that secondary blog? This is a volunteer who wants to help organize access to data from my blog for followers. I can put material on one of my secondary blogs for him to work without Admin access to the primary blog.

Hi there, you can add your supplier to the site by logging into its dashboard at http://mpnforum.wordpress.com/wp-admin – and heading over to to Users > Invite New
You’ll find instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/
WordPress has different user roles, depending on how much access you want to give to each user: Administrator, Editor, Author, and Contributor. You can read more about the different roles here, and decide which role fits your supplier best:

thanks for the quick response. I did study that option. It’s clear about various User functions but I couldn’t find any info on USERID or PW. How would this new User with Editor status access the Dashboard?

If you invite the user by entering their email address on the invitation page, they will need to click the “Accept Invitation” button in the invitation email. Once they do that, they will be taken to the log-in screen, where they will be prompted to create a new user account, with their own username and password.
