How to create a "site map" NOT a "sitemap"
-
I’m trying to create a page that will populate with a list of post titles by category – basically a site map. Everything I’ve found on the help sites has to do with domain mapping or Google sitemapping for SEO – which I do NOT need.
Surely this is possible…can anyone help?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t know of any themes here that have a site map page template, so you will likely have to create one by hand and then keep it updated.
There is the archives shortcode, but it does not organize by category, only by date related terms.

Is this the blog in question? http://3cheers4.wordpress.com/
Have you seen this support entry? Create a Site Index -

It does pages, the last 60 blog posts, monthly archives and category archives although it does not list the posts under the monthly or category archives headings.

actually, timethief, it’s spectrumu.wordpress.com.
I’ll take a look at the support entry as well as the template. I do need something that will list posts under category headings.

Just in case you missed it (don’t throw rotten tomatoes please) there is a Categories widget. On free hosted WordPress.com blogs widgets can only be installed in sidebar areas or footers provided for widgets. They cannot be installed on pages or posts.
What I did long ago when using a different theme was to temporarily place the categories widget in the sidebar. Go to the front of the blog and copy all the links displayed by it by Category. Then I created a static page and pasted the links into it and published it. Once the page was up I removed the Categories widget from the sidebar. The only catch is that the page will not automatically update. When you publish a new post you have to manually update it or do the same process all over again.
