How to create a table with an "add Product" button for custom orders

    Hi,

    I want to create a website that allows customers to select and create their own skateboard which comprises out of a number of components. I would like to use woocommerce as my site’s back-end as it already has all the different components on a database with pricing and specs. However, all the woocommerce plugins i have seen so far only allows for all products to be displayed within the table where as i would like to the table to be empty and clients populating the tales with products. Additionally, due to the large number of products on the database, it is unpractical to use a dropdown to select the product and would prefer if the “add product” button can take the client to a separate page where all the products are displayed and can filter it or use a search function to select the desired product.

    So far i have only seen one website which has a function like this (pcpartpicker.com) and was wondering if it is possible to do something similar with woocommerce, or maybe even another tool which offers a similar service?

    You are posting in the support forums for free sites hosted on WordPress.com. We do not provide support here for the open source WordPress software you’re using on your site, or for specific plugins for that software like WooCommerce.

    For what you’re describing, WooCommerce with the Composite Products add-on might work. You can see the options they have for grouped and configurable products here:
