How to create a website under construction page?

  I have been working on my website and have made it private for now, as working on some final details before I make it public. Meanwhile, I want the visitor to see a under construction page only when they try to view my website. Please help.

  Making a site with a Public front page also allows your site to be crawled by search engines. If that is OK-you can set a static front page following this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

  You can also change your privacy settings to allow visitors but discourage search engines, but it is up to the search engine to respect that setting.
