Hello @darrylcotton!
You should follow this link here to find out more about adding e-mail addresses: https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/

Hi darrylcotton
You can create an email forward by going to My Sites (in the top menu) > Domains > Scroll down to select email.
You can add additionally email forwards by click “add new email forward”
Checkout the below link for detailed instructions.

Hi Thanks for your help.
I see that I will have to subscribe to a Gmail plan at $5 per month.
Is this the only way? -
-
Hi darrylcotton
You don’t need to subscribe to Gmail plan. You can add an email forwarding as below.
Go to Domains > Click on your custom domain.
https://cl.ly/1N061G2f3O0DOn the next screen click on the Email
https://cl.ly/1q1t123n2H1hYou will see Email forwarding option below the Gsuite block. https://cl.ly/1P0c091u3E2T
When you click the Email forwarding options you will see this screen where you need to add your custom email address and forwarding Gmail address.
The following link would help you on this issue.

Hi darrylcotton
Is there away to get the emails sent to gmail without paying?
The Gmail (G-suite) plan is for you to have a different mailbox on Gmail with the custom email on your own domain. Which means you can send and receive email from the email with @jewishliteraryfestival.co.z using the familiar Gmail interface.
If you just need an email id that will forward emails to your gmail (or any other existing email id) the standard email forwards available with your domain will work.
Do note while Gmail is $5/month or $50/yr there are free alternatives like Zoho which will allow you upto 25 emails for free.
Read all about adding emails here – https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/
Thanks

Hi darrylcotton
I am glad you got this working.
How do I send emails so its shows they are from the correct domain as address, ie not from Gmail. This part is a bit tricky as Gmail won’t allow you to change the ‘From’ email as mentioned in the following section of this article:
Changing your From address
https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-forwarding/#changing-your-from-addressYou need to setup a free email hosting. Zoho is the best option as it gives you 25 free mail boxes.
1. First, you need to create an email hosting account on Zoho mail. https://www.zoho.com/mail/
2. Now configure some DNS setting for your custom domain on WordPress.com dashboard as mentioned in the link below.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/add-email-through-zoho-mail/3. Since your email is now hosted on Zoho you may need to delete the forwarding email you just created from your WordPress account. The forwarding would be handled by Zoho. See how to set up forwarding on Zoho
https://www.zoho.com/mail/help/email-forwarding.htmlLet me know if you need more help through the process.
Cheers.

Thanks for your reply.
The problem is that mail must go to the gmail accounts.
If I purchase the Gmail subscription, will this allow me to send and receive from from within the gmail interface? -
Hi darrylcotton
Yes, purchasing the G-suit would allow you to send and receive emails from the Gmail interface.
You can learn more about adding the G-suit in the links below.
