How to create an Illustratr theme home page

    I am trying to use the Illustratr theme, but can’t figure out how to add images to the home page properly so that they link through to other pages. I did drop in some placeholder images and aligned them left and right, but they are all over the place and don’t look very good… I think the way to make it look good, ie like the example one on the wordpress site, is by having the images linking through to portfolio pages, but i don’t know how to create those images boxes on the home page. Apologies if this is unclear – I just want the site to look like the one in the example, but i can’t figure out how to.

    Hi,
    The Illustratr theme will automatically pull in featured images from your portfolio & space them properly if you change the page template to “Portfolio Page Template”. I believe it is set to display 3 images per row. The “Portfolio Page Template” section on https://wordpress.com/themes/illustratr gives you more detailed instructions.

    If you want more images in a row or don’t want to use the Portfolio Page template for some reason, you can add the [portfolio] shortcode to your page. For example: [portfolio columns=4]
