How to create button link to a category
-
Hello,
I wandered how to link a button on a page to a blog category. For example the category is called Trucks and Trailers, I have created several posts about modded trucks and trailers for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and I want visitors to be able to access this blog category directly by clicking a button on the front page of my website. So is this possible and if it is, how can I do that -
Hello. I’m not sure if that’s relative to the theme but, for my site, in all pages under every post’s feature image and excerpt, it automatically shows a button to the category. The same thing happens inside the post.
If yours doesn’t show it, there’s the option of using Menus, but they are most used to link pages. You can use Widgets, they vary by theme, but usually, they are displayed on the side or footer. You can add a Widget and link it to the category like this:
Then, on the right side, there’s Settings>Advanced>Visibility. There you can create a rule to display this footer only on specific pages.Hope I could help.

Hi there,
You can check out the category link by clicking on the post category. It should show a URL something like this https://yourwebsite.wordpress.com/category/yourcategory .
After that, just input the URL to your button, and it should do the trick.

Hi there,
To add a button to the content of your front page, you can use the button block:
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/buttons-block/
Edit your front page, then add that block wherever you want the buttons to appear.
