Hi,
but on the website the child page did show up….
I think you meant to say that the child page didn’t show up.
The Lodestar theme will display a default pages menu in the “Top” location if there is no custom menu set to display in that location. So, if the pages that you’ve mentioned have been published, then the result you’ve described suggests that there is a custom menu set to display in the “Top” location, but there are no menu items in it.
Two possible solutions:
1. Display the default pages menu
At Customize > Custom Menus > View All Locations > Top, select the option “–Select–.” That setting actually means you’ve selected no custom menu. Then save the change by clicking the “Publish” button. The result will be that the default pages menu will be displayed, including parent and child pages.2. Display a custom menu, with items in it
a. At Customize > Custom Menus > View All Locations > Top, select the option one of the custom menus available, and save the change if necessary. If there is only one custom menu available, then skip this step because that custom menu is already being displayed.b. Add menu items, including links to your parent and child pages, as described in the Add menu items section of the Custom Menus support page.

Correction:
[2]a. At Customize > Custom Menus > View All Locations > Top, select one of the custom menus available, and save the change if necessary.
