How to create drop down box (as in Categories & Archives Widgets)

    It’s me again. I’m interested in putting some of the items in my sidebar widgets into drop down boxes like the Category/Archive widget boxes, but can’t find anything on it. Is it possible? If so, I do need some help on how to accomplish it.

    I notice someone has queried on a dynamic drop down box,. I’m watching that topic too.

    You can set it to show as a drop down in the widget itself from the appearance > widgets page.

    Thanks. I have my categories set both ways – a list and a drop down. Actually, it would be nice if the “Pages” widget had a drop down option as well.

    Anyway, I’m interested in creating a drop down box for other lists, like my “featured images index” or “index menu”. At present, I’ve created those through the custom menu and added them by the widget for same.

    I have also had some manual lists, such as in my Page “Index: Poetry, Stories & Images”. The list by title is manually generated. I would like it on my side bar in a drop down box, if possible. (It’s manual b/c I didn’t put the title of the poem/story in the title of my post. It’s in a tag and I couldn’t figure out how to work it w/so many variables.)

    I like the option of being able to abbreviate my lists into drop down boxes, just don’t know how to go about it, nor whether it’s possible.
