How to create dropdown menu

    My main menu is on the left side of the page (the one that comes by default) and I have main pages and then subpages inside others. All the main and sub pages are listed in the menu all the time, but I want the subpages to be collapsed so that I have a dropdown menu from the main pages.

    All tutorials I’ve seen indicate you just have to move the subpages to the right (when arranging the menu) so that they are inside the main pages, but that doesn’t make it a dropdown menu in my case as it automatically becomes in the tutorials :(
    Is this a problem of the theme? Can it be changed without any plugins?

    Your theme has a unique vertical menu that doesn’t become a drop down, because it’s already vertical.

    You could switch to another theme though if you’d like. Most include drop-down menu options.
