How to create post and it shows up

I am hoping i can post here as it is a paid theme. i know wp.org you can not. Hoping not to wait a day the support is great, but i can’t wait a day for each problem. When i create a post then hit read more link it links to no where. Support gave me this message but i don’t understand it. I came from rapid weaver where you add pages and they work. i used universal blog for those sites.
I would like my home page to stay home and blog to stay as iron blog.

In order to use “Read More” the content needs to be created as a WordPress post. That’s how the other site is setup – as a blog. Instead you created all that content manually. So there isn’t a place for any button to link to. As of right now, your content just exists inside that page.For example, you have “Read More” links here: http://nitrokick.net/iron-blog
I could not set site up using their demo content as it took forever to load. don’t know why but after two weeks of trying i just built from scratch and it worked fast. FIXED! It was the permalink setting not being set as post name, in case anyone else has this problem.
