How to create posts with featured images in a category

  I need help. recently I created a blog in wordpress.com and now can`t manage to create several posts in one category like in this blog http://lexiejrunge.com/
  You can see when click at the category “Photograpers” it shows you several posts with featured images and text on it

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Dashboard—>Appearance—>Theme Options—>select:
  “Show Full Content Archive
  Check this if you want to show the full post content on archive pages.”
  —>Save Settings
