How to create sound library?

    Hi!

    I’m seeking to implement a sound library that I’ll wish to grow in size and sophistication over time. It’s for recording artists who will add to the library and contribute to growing a pool of professional tracks for other artists. What are some good ways to do this in WordPress? Preferably via some plug-ins?

    Hi Sam,

    With WordPress.com you can embed audio from different sources, like Audiomack, SoundCloud, Mixcloud. You can also upload audio files to your site and use, i.e. Audio Widget in your site’s sidebar or footer. There are many possibilities to create a sound library on WordPress.com. I can suggest you make yourself more familiar with the subject by skimming through some of the Support documentation. I have provided some links for you, which should get you started:

    If you want to use an external, third-party plugin, you would have to upgrade to the Business plan as uploading plugins is not supported on lower plans. Another advantage of upgrading is that with the Business plan you have Unlimited Storage Space, which in case of creating an audio library might be helpful if you would be uploading many files.
