how to create tables in post
-
I pasted a Microsoft Word table in my post and the table borders didn’t show. What’s the trick to showing a nice table in the post?

To correct your table: go to the post editor (html mode) and you’ll see this near the beginning of the table code:
border=”0″
Change the 0 to 1.
Tables are easier and safer to create in Windows Live Writer instead of Word.

<table class="MsoNormalTable" style="border-collapse:collapse;" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">Change border=”0″ to “1”

I usually use ms excel for my tables. I copy the area and paste it in my post. Though it might look different in different browsers, I’m usually ok with it. just an idea… :)
you can see them here;

Thanks for your advice. It was easy to execute. However, the left border of Table 1 is still borderless — http://devcompage.com

@devcompage: Change the border number from 1 to 2.
Or change this:
<table class="MsoNormalTable" style="border-collapse:collapse;" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
to this:
<table border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">In general, pasting from Word is not a good idea.

Thanks. I did as you advised and the table now has borders. Yep, I read the faq about not using Word to do tables and pasting them in the blog. I’m learning.
