How To Customize Header/Home Page
-
I’m trying to either create a home page that just displays the header and the site name or hide everything in the home page except for the menu page selection. I read somewhere that because WordPress is my host, I can only make changes to the header by going through WordPress’s support.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Cindi,
First, I’d edit your home page, and choose the Full-Width template from the Page Attributes module:
https://cloudup.com/cxf8wsk4pSTI’d also turn off comments for that page. Find the Discussion module here, below the editor:
http://cl.ly/image/3G35052g350iIf you don’t see the Discussion module there, click the Screen Options tab in the upper-right corner of that screen and put a check next to ‘Comments’ in the box that expands:
Screen OptionsOnce you’ve done that, you can hide the page title with the following CSS:
.entry-title { display: none; }Let me know if that gets everything, or if there’s still something showing up there you don’t want. :)

Hi Ms. Eurello!
Thank you so very much for the help!! You completely helped me do exactly what I wanted!!
I do have another question now that I was able to remove the extra stuff: how do I remove the WordPress logo at the bottom of the website?

Hi Cindi,
Removing the footer credits is against our Terms of Service, and we ask that all of our bloggers (even our VIP sites) retain them.
I do see, though, that because of the way that you have your site set up, they look much larger than they typically do. You can adjust the font size using CSS, as long as the text remains readable; for example:
#site-info { font-size: 12px; }
