how to customize your About page and change the header image

I want the header to change when clicking on the different categories (e.g. clicking on London backround changes to a picture of London, etc.)

You have to choose to use a theme that has featured header images enabled. http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/featured-image-header/ Then see here > Setting a Featured Image

Thank you! I have decided for the Motif theme now..but am pretty lost. Isnt there a step by step guide showing you how to customize it? I dont even get how to use this grid page :/
