how to cut and paste

When editing a post, the cut and paste function (using the touch screen) doesn’t seem to work in Safari for iPad Air. When I select a portion of text, the “cut/copy” tab appears when I hold my finger down on the screen. But if I choose “cut” and then try to paste the selection in another place in the post, no “paste” tab appears when I hold my finger down; only “select/select all.” The selected text just disappears. This is very strange and I can’t understand why it doesn’t work. I don’t have this problem when editing WordPress posts on my laptop.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I tried to replicate this problem on my ipad air and the copy/paste function worked for me. Here’s the process I followed.

    1. I went to WordPress.com in the Safari browser, chose the site I wanted to use.
    2. I clicked the blog posts link in the left column and from there chose an existing post to use for the test.
    3. I clicked the edit link on the post I planned to test and then followed the cut/paste process you outlined above.

Is that the same process you followed? If not, could you tell me more about your process so I can try to replicate it on my end?

    Thanks!
