How to DARKEN or increase CONTRAST of WordPress textg

    I have several WP blogs and every one has extremely light, grey text. They are barely readable. How do I change them EASILY to be readable. Is this a WordPress limitation, or Windows 7 or Chrome or Firefox. It seems all the WordPress templates use a very light text that is HARD to read. And, if I search on “text contrast” in the forums, not one questions addresses this issue.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    You could do inline CSS (in each Post or Page) formatting code to change the color of the text – but doing this in each Post or Page tends to be a drag but should be doable (no cost)

    Or you can buy the $ 30.- / year CSS upgrade and change all the text with one or two lines of CSS code

    Either way if you ask in the CSS forum section they should be able to help you there –

    I will also flag this to be moved to the CSS forum

    I checked http://authorsroundtable.org/ and the text does not look extremely light gray to me. Could you point out a specific example for me?

    I checked authorsroundtable.org again, and I noticed that it is using the Misty Lake theme and several elements in that theme are set to 60% opacity. I think the text is readable, so it’s possible your monitor looks different than mine. If you have the premium bundle upgrade, you can add custom CSS to turn that opacity setting up to 100%. Here is some example CSS you can try out in the Appearance > Customize > CSS editor:

    .widget-area, .entry-meta,
    .format-quote .entry-title,
    .format-quote .entry-title a,
    .format-aside .entry-title,
    .format-aside .entry-title a {
    	opacity: 1;
    }

    If you’re still having trouble after that, please write back with a link to an example where some of the text is looking hard to read and let us know a snippet of the text.
