How to deactivate my website?
-
Hi all,
I would like to deactivate my website, as my wordpress domain has expired for a long time. The problem is I no longer have access to the original email associated with my account, so there is no way to find the authentication code and all the transaction record.
Thank you for your help!

Hey, I’m here to help with this.
Could you please share the URL of the website you’d like to deactivate? This will help us confirm whether the site is hosted on WordPress.com.
If the site does belong to WordPress.com and you no longer have access to the email associated with your account, the first step is to try and recover the account. You can start that process by filling out this form:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recoveryFor detailed instructions, this guide will walk you through the steps:
https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#verify-your-account-ownershipOnce the recovery form is submitted, our team will reach out and help you regain access. After you’re back into your account, you’ll be able to delete the site using the steps outlined here:
https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/If it turns out you can’t verify your identity and recover the account, we won’t be able to grant access to it — but if your site contains personal information, you can request that we set the site to private so it’s no longer visible to the public or search engines.
Give the recovery process a try and let us know how it goes or if you’d like help with any step.
