How to deactivate proofreading ?
-
I always get those red underlining which is very annoying. Why is proofreading on ?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The red underlines are most likely from your browser’s spellchecker. All modern browsers have them built in and turned on by default. The proofreading thing has to actually be activated and deactivated manually from within the post or page editor. It is not “on” by default.
Turn off spell checking in your browser if you don’t want to have it check your spelling.

I cannot deactivate the proofreading. I dont want those red underlines.
I have cheked off the browser spelling -
If you have activated it (or it is activated) in your posts editor, then you have to turn it off there as well: http://en.support.wordpress.com/proofreading/.

In the Visual mode I can undo the proofreading by clicking the Undo buttom
But that is not satisfactory because I have to do it immediately after proofreading.
In the HTML view I can toggle the proofreading buttom
I could not see any explanation on this question in

Anytime I go into the visual editor, the proofreading thing is off. If I click it, it activates and shows any spelling errors and suspected grammatical errors. Once I click “save,” or “update post” the underlining for the proofreader is gone. It doesn’t come back unless I again press the proofreading button, and it goes back off once I save.

OK. But I do not see any reason to do this differently in the HTML and the Visual view.
As said, in the HTML view you just toggle, but in the Visual view you cannot toggle but have to update. It would be more simple to toggle in both cases
