How to deal with spam followers/email alerts of spam followers

    I am getting a lot of spam followers for a blog to which I do not post very often… I want to block them or otherwise not have this problem (I get the emails alerting me to the spam followers…I am sure they are bots)

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Howdy,

    The best immediate option, especially if you don’t post to the blog often, is to change the discussion settings to not e-mail you when someone new follows you: https://terraverde.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-discussion.php

    It’s hard to determine the “intent” behind a follow, so we do have to investigate the full picture (the blog behind the account, etc), which isn’t as fast of a process as we’d all wish it to be.
