How to decrease header height in Triton Lite theme

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi – I want to add a thin logo to the header in Triton Lite, but it seems that the only option is to add a thick header. When I try to crop, the functionality isn’t there to re-shape the header, only to resize. How might I add a header that is not so high.

Additionally, is there a way to add a header that only takes up the left portion of the header space? Then, I can use the tagline in the other portion. If not, that’s ok…

    Hi there,

The customizations that you are requesting can most likely be done with CSS because you would have to overwrite the theme’s CSS. We have staff and volunteers that would be able to help you in the CSS Customization forum here:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization

Can you please post this there? I’m sorry for moving you to another forum, but this will make sure your post doesn’t get lost as they work from oldest to newest.

    Thank you!

Follow up – I’ve been able to customize the header Height in the CSS section, but now there is HUGE space between the header logo and the title and subtitle. I’d like to get rid of that space. Help?

BTW – the url above is incorrect. The blog I actually need help with is: https://csueii.wordpress.com/

OK – I figured out the spacing issue, too.

My last issue is — is there a way to put the header logo AND the title in the same horizontal space — IE. logo on LEFT in header and title on RIGHT?

I’d like to keep the subtitle/tagline under both.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

I’d recommend editing the header image to have the title on the right and upload that. This would be the best way to achieve this.

Let me know if you have any questions with this!
