how to delete a category

  i want to delete the ‘blogroll’ category.. so how can i do this? can anyone help me?

  read this first:
  http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/19/setting-your-default-post-bookmark-category/

  you need to change your default category from blogroll.

  then do this:
  dashboard -> manage -> categories

  then only can you delete it.
