How to delete a draft that freezes up my browser?

I was writing a post, and it froze my browser (firefox) – the cpu useage spiked to 99%, and the browser stopped responding. I’ve tested this out – it does it in both firefox and IE, and it is only the specific post — other draft posts don’t do it. I was using the advanced format bar, and working on the code tab to delete some html tags I had imported with cutting and pasting some quotes.

I’ve re-written and posted the post I wanted to make – I just need to figure out how to delete the crashes-me draft now. Or should I just ignore it and handle the problem by not opening it?

I confess I have no answer — only questions.
Can you create a new draft in a plain text editor?
The cutting and pasting didn’t happen to be from microsoft WORD did it? http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/09/why-not-to-use-word/

I was able to create a new draft to re-write the post without any trouble at all. I was cutting and pasting directly from the websites I was extracting the material from. For my second post I cut and pasted from the websites to notebook (getting rid of the html that way), then from notebook into wordpress, and that worked just fine.

I sort of wonder if what happened is that as I was manually deleting the html, I broke a tag somehow, and am making the browser loop endlessly trying to load it.

Don’t cut and paste from websites: you just never know what weirdness they’ve got in their HTML.

You should be able to delete this draft from the Dashboard Manage page, shouldn’t you? If that doesn’t work, wait till Monday when support re-opens and send a Feedback with the exact title of the draft to delete and the URL of the published post you DO NOT want to delete.
