how to delete additional admins
-
I gave one other person admin rights and they have now left the country. For security i wish to delete them, or at least change their persmissions. Becuase they are an admin, I don’t seem to have any control over their permissions. I also can’t delete them altogether. What should I do, please?
Thanks :-)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The support doc on user roles is very clear:
Important: Please be careful of the roles you give users on your blog. If you add a user as an administrator, you are granting full ownership rights to him/her. This means that if he/she deletes the blog and/or its content, there is no wrongdoing. For this reason, we recommend having only one administrator per blog.
(emphasis mine)
If you are the site owner (ie the person who registered the blog), I suggest you contact Support directly and request assistance.
I would also suggest making a full backup of your blog by exporting it following the instructions here. http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

Many thanks justjennifer. Have sent apologetic email to support to see if they can help x

In my defence, just to say that our group asked them to set up our site when we were a new group. Don’t see how i could have avoided this sitatuion … :-(

Set people to “Editor” an Editor can do everything an Admin can do except I think add users, change themes and delete a blog.

@drosier-best wishes for a happy ending. I can’t speak for Support but I do know that its important that you are the site owner. To check this, you can look under “My Blogs” and if you hover your mouse over the blog address and 2 links appear there that say, “Change Blog Address/Transfer Blog” then you are.
@auxclass-and also except set up or change any of the site Settings (with the exception of Polls & Ratings).
