How to delete an old blog hosted on a WordPress sub domain?

    Good day,

    I’m contacting you on behalf of my client. A few years ago, an ex-employee of them created a blog on their behalf – it runs as a sub-domain of WordPress. For example blogname.wordpress.com

    They only realized now that it is still active. Unfortunately no one has access to the admin section and we are therefore unable to disable it.

    How do we go about getting the unwanted blog deleted permanently?
