How to delete comments???

    There is no option to delete any comment you made except just edit your comment.
    Real being is that if your real name was out there and it does invade my personal info a little and that happens to me once.

    Hi,

    Presuming that you’re referring to comments on a WordPress.com site, the introductory sentence in the Manage Comments support page is the following:

    At WordPress.com, you have full control over what comments appear on site’s your posts and pages: you can approve, delete, or edit any comments left on your site.

    See also the Comment Actions and Bulk Edit sections of that support page, each of which involves the trash option. A trashed comment, like a trashed post or page, will be held for 30 days in trash, and then automatically permanently deleted, unless it is restored. Comments may be restored within that 30 day window. See the Trash support page for details regarding how the Trash folder works and the available options.

    If you’re referring, rather, to comments made on someone else’s site, then see the Can I edit comments I left on someone else’s blog? section of the Comments support page. The short answer to that question is “No.” A longer answer is provided in that section.

    I’ll call for staff attention regarding this, although I suspect that if the info is in someone else’s site and is not considered by WordPress.com to be a security risk, then they probably won’t be even legally allowed to remove it. They may suggest 1.) that you ask the site owner to remove it, and 2.) how to help prevent such security breaches in the future.

    Hi there,

    Comments are something you voluntarily leave on someone else’s site. Even if you included your real name in a comment, you chose to do that, and we will not violate the rights of the site owner to remove that info from a comment you left on their site. We only remove “personal information” from a site if someone else posted your information without your permission.

    Once you publish a comment, it becomes part of the site, and only the site owner can modify or remove it.
