How to delete my account?

I’m trying to be more aware of my presence and safety on the internet and would therefore I would like to delete my old and unnecessary accounts. I can’t figure out how to delete my WordPress account. Can someone help?

Hi @spunkyadventuress thanks for the response. I have seen those directions but I would actually like to remove my account from the WordPress databases, not simply change my password to a “random string”.

I’m tagging a mod to give this a look. I’m not sure if you can remove your account from the databases – they stay in the system so no one else can use them at a later time. You can remove your sites, but I believe your accounts stay.

@supersar7465 the username itself cannot be removed, but we can remove you from it it – or you can do it on your own as mentioned earlier. Are you looking to delete this account?
