Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
I tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up as you may want to retain the domain URL and use it elsewhere. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe:

Did you not notice that I said this thread was tagged for Staff help. There is no phone support here. It’s a holiday. There is a backlog. Please be patient while waiting for Staff help.

@contemplatingoutloud
I’ve disabled auto-renew for your domain registration. Your other upgrades were not set to auto-renew.Once your domain expires you will no longer own the URL “contemplatingoutloud.com”
You will still own all your content, and, if you like, could continue to use your site for free. Your URL would simply change to contemplatingoutloud.wordpress.com, and any changes you made using custom design would revert to the defaults for your theme.
If you decide you would like to keep using your free site, you’ll want to reset your primary domain to contemplatingoutloud.wordpress.com
Here’s how you do that:
Please let me know if you have any more questions, or need any more help!
