Hi there, you actually need a WordPress.com site name. This is the “behind the scenes” website that your build/maintain. All the visitors to your site will see the custom domain name you created, however: thepeopleremember.org
You can certainly adjust the name of your WordPress.com site, so the spelling is something you prefer, but it cannot be deleted altogether, or your whole website will also be deleted.
Just so you are aware, while you have a custom domain name, nobody else but you will see your WordPress.com site name: thepeoplerember.wordpress.com/. So in all honesty, it doesn’t really matter how it’s spelled, or what it’s called.

Unfortunately, the correctly spelled “thepeopleremember.wordpress.com” isn’t available (we deleted it yesterday, so I’d hoped it would be available now). I guess we’ll leave the (hidden) misspelled version. Thanks for the prompt reply!

My pleasure. And, if the misspelling drives you crazy, remember you can call the site whatever you’d like and it’ll still be represented by your custom domain name!

Yes, I’m a perfectionist web designer working with my very creative but dyslexic friend!~
