How to delete old website
-
I need to delete an old website that seems to be lingering as a kind of skeleton online (https://cvodesign.wordpress.com/). It’s been inactive for about 10 years, but for some reason I can’t fully delete it. I really need to, as I’m in the process of putting up a new website (and the competing Google search results look confusing and unprofessional). The old website was linked to my WordPress account (linked with my gmail account), which I can still sign into. But for some reason I’m not able to do anything with the old website once I’m signed into my WordPress account.
Please help and either let me know how to delete the website completely – or, even better, delete it completely yourself. I just want it gone, and am frustrated I’m not able to do this, given that I was the one who put it up in the first place.

Hi there,
I do not see any sites under your @cvolin WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.
Is it possible you created your site under a different login? I can confirm that the site cvodesign.wordpress.com is registered in our system, but is under a different account, and not under your @cvolin login.
We are not able to help here in the support forums, as verifying account ownership requires us to ask you to provide info that is best not shared in this public venue.
With this in mind, please fill out this form here to the best of your ability: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
This will send all the info you have to our account recovery team, and from there they will contact you directly to assist you in regaining access to the account that owns cvodesign.wordpress.com.
Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
