How to delete "Plugins" on my home page

  • Unknown's avatar

    How do I delete “plugins” followed by “posted on May 1, 2013” and “posted in uncategorized/leave a comment,” which appear at the top of the body on the my wordpress homepage, just below the tabs for the pages?

    On my site dolphingirlscamp.com, I’d like to have the home page body text start with the text “Make a Big Splash!” and eliminate “plugins….”

    Thank you,
    yun

  • Hi Yun, I don’t see the word “plugins” on your page – are you still seeing it?

    To get rid of the lines:

    “posted on [date]” and “posted in [category]” you can you can try adding this code under Appearance > Custom Design. Click the CSS tab and add this completely below the existing green comments:

    .entry-meta, .cat-links {
    	display: none;
    }

    Click Save when you’re done.

    If you need further CSS help, please feel free to post in our CSS Customization forum.

    To turn off the ability for visitors to leave comments, you can head over to Settings > Discussion, and un-check the box that says “Allow people to post comments on new articles”

    https://dolphingirlscamp.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-discussion.php

    For posts that are already published, you’ll need to edit the post and un-check the box that says Allow Comments:

    If you don’t see the Discussion options box on the post, you may need to display it by opening the Screen Options panel at the top right, and activating it:
