How to delete the domain expiration announcement?

  I chose not to renew a dot org domain mapping and only use the dot wordpress dot com address. The wordpress domain is still the primary URL, but somehow any reader including myself when logged out can not get rid of the expiration notice. I have no intention to renew. Is it possible to make it disappear?
