How to delete themes

  I have chosen a theme then customized it a little but wasn’t happy with the theme so chose another one but the layout is the same as the first theme I chose. So I want delete all the themes and start with a new one . How can I do this?

  Hey zonkaz,

  To delete a theme just head across to Appearance > Themes, and delete each of the themes you’ve added.

  If there are any remaining formatting issues either fix it up as you go along, or you could use a plugin like ‘Advanced WordPress Reset’ to start from fresh (Just a warning, this will remove all your data and you’ll need to start fresh).

  Hi there,

  You can’t delete themes on WordPress.com. You only change between them. So if you want the layout of a new theme applied you need to delete the pages created by the previous theme.

  To do that go to WordPress.com > My Sites > Pages and delete the ones created by the previous theme.

  Now, when you activate a new theme it will automatically create new pages that’ll reflect that theme’s layout.
