how to delete "this is just a short excerpt for the about page"

the quoted text is on the home page, under each of the photos and links to other pages. However, that text does not show up when I go into edit mode. How do i delete it?

Yes, I figured it out and fixed it after I posted my query. Thank you for looking into it. FYI, I located the way to edit those little boxes at the bottom of the home page. The opportunity to edit occurs when you click into each of the pages, and go over to the right panel and click the three horizontal dots. That launches a pulldown, where there is box containing the template text. I deleted the preloaded text (i.e. this is just a short excerpt for the [] page”.
